About Us

The Dr. Michalis J. Linardakis Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-for-profit, was the concept brought about by his son, Christos Michalis Linardakis, in September 2007 after recovering from an illness. It wasn’t till Christos was released from Hinsdale Hospital, room 2114, that he decided to finally, begin organizing and reviewing hundreds of documents and memoirs saved by his father, “Dr. Mike”, that he stumbled across an old envelop, yellowed by time, that read “Hinsdale Hospital—room 2114”. Astounded by this discovery, his son realized that the same room number he walked out of, was the same, that Dr. Mike, passed away in, some 25+ years ago—this would be the beginning of a “ new design for living” which would be far more fulfilling than any Christos could ever imagine. It was also the beginning of the Foundation to bring to life the values, morals, and human touch that “Dr. Mike” believed in, and lived in his daily life, to those individuals less fortunate with physical, psychological and mental disabilities.
